I had an uncomfortable encounter with the super rude and unfriendly checker, Christine. She was very friendly to the Caucasian customers before and after me but her demeanor completely switched and was absolutely cold and she clearly felt no obligation to greet a non-white customer such as me. She was peering over her check stand in a very obvious way to see if I was perhaps concealing something under my cart - which is odd because the carts have no lower rack… she said absolutely nothing to me during the whole encounter until after I paid when I spoke up and brought it to her attention that she has not greeted me. I’ve worked in customer service and retail and every customer I’ve encountered received the same treatment and service regardless of race, age, ability, etc. I don’t understand how people can feel okay about selectively treating people poorly because they don’t fit the description of someone who they think deserves kindness or respect. Target Livermore management, do better with hiring and training.

The cashier made frequent mistakes during the process. Another employee had to void the entire purchase and re-start it again. The simple buying experience turned into a 35 to 45 minute ordeal with the 2nd female employee being mean and aggressive at me, the customer. She was cruel and had many micro aggressions (mean girl energy while chewing gum violently). It was a horrid shopping experience at Target on January 8, 2026 at 9:11pm in Livermore, California. Please train the employees to be respectful, polite, and non-discriminatory (I have Autism and am a female minority. :(. Despite the 18 year old female by the name of Jayden (blond hair and blue eyes about 5 feet and 6 inches and 176lbs). I thanked her while she flipped me off at my car and snickered about me with other Target employees.

Great Target location. Spacious. Clean store. Satisfactory service/staff. Well maintained and stocked. Average (usual) Target quality. Overall, it's a great Target location.

I went in to make a purchase for a video game Since it was locked i needed an employee to retrieve it. The lady was working by herself and was extremely busy. 3 other employees were there and they said she was the only 1 with the key. I asked if she could pass the key to someone and the store director (Steven) said he would help me after he took care of something. Another employee took the initiative and got the key and grabbed the item for me. As I was making the purchase, Steven was still standing there having a conversation with another employee. I find out that hes actually not doing any work, but is making a personal purchase. Completely unprofessional while having an employee work all by herself in a section that is swamped.

If you see a sale price tag for the item you want to buy, check it carefully for the expiration date. The Livermore Target doesn't always remove them in a timely fashion, and you think you are buying at the sale price, if you don't notice the expiration date. You might get an unpleasant surprise at the cash register. Happened to me yesterday. I returned today, and the same out-of-date sale price tags were still hanging on the shelf. Get with it, Target!
