Recently moved to Livermore and was looking for a good sandwich place. Who woulda thought it would be at a butcher shop. Ordered the Godmother (-$18). Sourdough roll, mollinari salami, Hobbs tavern ham, lettuce, tomato, fire roasted peppers, banana peppers, olive oil, vinegar, pesto aioli, and fresh mozzarella cheese. I optioned to toast the bread. The bread is fresh, soft inside and crunchy on the outside. I elected to toast, looks like they use a panini press. They don’t skimp on the salami and ham. Produce is fresh. Great contrast of the peppers, acid from the vinegar, creamy pesto aioli, and good chunk of mozzarella. It’s a balanced “Italian” sandwich. So good I came back two days later. Portion size will fill you up as a solo but definitely can be split between two people. Feels like a mom and pop operation who has been here for a very long time. Will absolutely come back for this sandwich.

My family loves this place. The sandwiches are huge and delicious for the price. The girl that help us today was super friendly and was such pleasure to talk to get. It may have been the owners daughter and if so, you raised her right. Thank you for a great experience, we will be back.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve visited this butcher shop three times, and without a doubt, it is worth every penny. The quality of the meat is on a completely different level compared to anywhere else I’ve shopped, and the knowledge and customer service from the owner, his family, and the staff are truly outstanding. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. Even when it’s busy, I don’t mind waiting at all — it’s absolutely worth it. I gladly travel from outside of Livermore just to shop here, and it shows in my meals. Everything I’ve cooked has tasted noticeably better — easily a notch or two above the rest. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this place BUT.... they Tax! I feel like prices go up every 6 months. 19lbs brisket for $300 is crazy. Overall, staff is great, cuts are great, seasonings are good. I have nothing but good things left to say about this place. Its just very pricey.

Smaller shop than I anticipated, but they have what you need. And I assume if they don't, they can get it on special request. I got a couple racks of beef plate ribs. Pretty much the only place I can find em. Threw em on the smoker. Cane out fantastic. Looking forward to more smokes in the future.
