My family moved out of a condo, and they left garbage in two green containers that didn’t belong there, and the landlord was throwing a fit. So we needed a junk hauler to come and remove the garbage and get rid of it. First of all, it was difficult finding a hauler that would call you back. Finally, I got in touch with Junk King of Contra Costa but I got the runaround. I had to repeatedly tell them that I needed a quote right away, as I was checking with other haulers to get quotes for comparisons, and they told me I could send them pictures in order to give me a quote right away. I sent the pictures but again no one will call me back so I had to call them again. They finally gave me a quote over the phone after 6 PM. Society has changed so much. This incompetency is quite common with business nowadays. I was not pleased with the overall service I received from this company. But, I was in a bind, so I had to go with what they provided.

Amazing communication, incredibly patient, and a pleasure to work with. Pricing was better than many other companies I’ve debated and researched. I reserved a 12 cubic yd dumpster and it was more than enough for the work I was doing. I 100% recommend to work with junk king!

Absolutely terrible and unprofessional l. Would never use them again and would NEVER recommend. Threw my couch and loveseat over a third floor railing not even carrying it down the stairs when they had 2 guys. One of which was a literal body building giant. That however does NOT mean he can just man power his way through peoples houses damaging walls, breaking lights and then so carelessly, recklessly, unprofessionally throws the furniture over the outdoor railing?? 0 stars. Awful. Do not use them.

It was a day before the new owners took over my house & I was stressing about all the junk still left over. Junk King came the same day. They cleared out everything, including a broken beverage fridge. They even helped take apart foam tile flooring. My stress levels went from 9 to 3 in the 20 mins they were here. Their price beat out every other place I called. The workers were super friendly and fast. I've already recommended them to 2 of my friends and after moving into my next house, I know I'll be calling them again to pick up after my purge! 👍👍

Had an appointment for furniture pickup with the Contra Costa County franchise. As the end of my arrival window approached I reached out to customer service for an ETA update. They told me the team appeared to be enroute and that I would receive a call in 5-10 minutes. About an hour passed with no update so I called again, same response. The customer service team couldn't get in contact with the pickup crew but they would call me in 5-10 minutes. Yet another hour passed with no contact. An hour or so after my window another team not originally assigned to my appointment reached out to me and came to make the pickup. They were great. Helpful, quick, and respectful. I feel like the customer service team did they best they could but overall not happy with my experience today. Would have given less stars if it hadn't been for the customer service team and the team that eventually helped me. Have had good experiences with Junk King in the past so not sure what happened this time around
