GoogleThis is hands down the best vet I have ever been to. Dr. Downes, Tamera, and all the staff are incredible. With the loss of my kitty and when I eventually brought in my new kitten they not only provided excellent care but made me feel cared for as the owner. They follow up after even simple issues with phone calls. They are dependable and knowledgeable. They provide you with all of your options and are the most realistic vet budget wise. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH!!!

GoogleDr Downes, Tamara and Celia are awesome! Our dog has been going there since she was a puppy. She just turned 5 years old. We get all her checks up, etc every year. She just had her dental cleaning. It is old school veterinary clinic with the old school personal touch. They are invested in your pet's care. Recommended.

GoogleBest place ever. I drove 30 min from Oakland for my 10 yo sharpei having more frequent fevers. My other vet didn’t get it and wouldn’t prescribe me colchicine even after I asked about it. Dr. Downes immediately knew what was up, and outlined steps for care. He and his staff were also really understanding of my dogs special disposition…and won him over with treats and patience.

GoogleDr. Downes and all staff members are super professional and caring. Today's visit was my pet dog's first and last :'( to this clinic. Dr. Downes and the staff members helped me go through the difficult time with deep care and empathy. Thank you all!

GoogleDr. Larry does a wonderful bedside manner, and he makes you feel very comfortable during his exams on your pet. Unfortunately, he incorrectly assured me that my pup DID NOT have entropion when I sought his services after my vet suggested she might. About two months after my visit, my dogs dermatologist instantly recognized the condition and urged me to seek an ophthalmologist who ultimately had to surgically correct the issue. I feel bad that my dog went through months of pain/uncomfortability because she was misdiagnosed. It was even more upsetting because I entrusted his medical opinion over others due to his special interest in the breed. My regular vet doesn't have experience with the breed so I naturally his opinion held more sway for me when it came time to make decisions.
