GoogleI had a very disappointing experience. I called this company to replace several burned-out fluorescent bulbs in my kitchen. The electrician took a quick look in the ceiling and immediately told me the lights needed to be completely replaced because these fixtures are “no longer used” and removing them supposedly causes cancer. Without inspecting the wiring, checking the fixtures, or discussing simpler options like replacing the bulbs or ballast, he provided a quote of $1,716 to replace four recessed lights. The estimate itself was also extremely vague — only a couple of sentences with no breakdown of labor, materials, or explanation of the work being performed. I later learned that fluorescent fixtures can typically be repaired or retrofitted, so it was concerning that no troubleshooting or alternatives were offered before recommending a full replacement at such a high cost. I would have appreciated a more thorough evaluation and a transparent estimate before being quoted such an expensive solution.

GoogleI recently had a complete rewire on my small home of 780sq. feet, I was told it would only take 1 week, it actually took almost 4 months. The project manager contact person "Tony" was extremely Rude, Unorganized and Unprofessional ! His scheduling of my project caused me daily inconveniences and unhealthy "exposure of uncovered asbestos" from removed 1930's plaster. (which I learned later.) Tony admitted his workers were not really experienced for my project. "WTH" ?!!! Living with exposed walls of asbestos that were Not covered up for weeks and many other issues... For 4 months I was not "kept in the loop", never knowing when they were going to show up to continue the work. There are way too many negatives to write about, this is my only experience with Aleco electric. This project costed me close to $19,000.00. It was left partially done for weeks at a time on and off without notifying me of what was going on throughout the job. "I was Disrespected and Insulted as a customer and would Never recommend Aleco Electric", they are unapologetic and unorganized. I am a retired single woman, there was no effort on their part to communicate with me directly. Extremely Frustrating! I am paying a high price but getting subpar work done with the 2 "inexperienced" workers showing up hours late and leaving most days after only 3 hrs. of work! This whole job should have been done in 4-7 days, as I was told when signing on. These people will say whatever it takes to sign you on. I was even told if I wrote a "good review" they would give me a discount, I declined. (This is likely how they get their 5 star reviews") I myself, know nothing about electrical work and feel taken Advantage of. "DO NOT HIRE ALECO" you can not trust them to look out for you! Additionally, Aleco's pricing is much higher than other companies. This has been a truly regretfull experience. ( I Signed contract in February 2025 and just Finally completed it mid June 2025) Extremely Disappointed, Yolanda B.

GoogleAleco technician George helped me understand the issues with my current spa circuits and clearly explained the steps needed to fix them at a reasonable price. I am very satisfied with his service. Thank you to George and the Aleco team for their help.

GoogleI Came from Los Angeles to Orinda to babysit my grandkids while my son and daughter-in-law went on vacation. My first day alone here the power went out. Jorge from Aleco electric Came fairly quickly and was able to fix the problem. He was friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this company

GoogleAll I had done was to replace a double light switch (a part which I provided) and the breaker that fed the circuit it was on. They came the next day, which was much needed as the lights in half of my house were not working, so that part was good, and the young man who did the service was excellent. But the price seemed way too high!!! $650 to do this rather simple job. Oh my, this can't become the new normal...no one will be able to afford repairs any more!!
