The service is the only good thing about this store. The reason why its the only good thing is because when I was getting my first saxophone they said the estimate time would be 5 days. I ended up waiting 3 weeks for my saxophone, they said it was all ready to play. I could barely play it, I told my dad(a man who played saxophone for 6 years, so he had the strength to play) and he tried playing it and he could barely play a note. So we asked to store why and they said "There's nothing wrong with it" and they screamed "NEXT" for the next person in line(It was busy). So we went to JAMS music, (Recommend going to that place before going to ABC music) and they said they could fix it in 10 business days. 10 business days came and we get a call that the saxophone is ready! It was so good that I got into the Jazz Band in my school! Totally hate this place. (also JAMS said that they get ALL of Castro Valleys repairs) GO TO JAMS MUSIC INSTEAD OF GOING HERE

I believe I worked with Sue and Josh the guitar instructor (please forgive me if I got the names wrong) over the period of a week to secure a guitar pedalboard that I saw that they had listed online. They both were extremely friendly and helpful. I do not live anywhere near their store and never even been there so I was a little apprehensive at first to do business online / over the phone. The pedalboard I wanted included a power supply and new both separate would be close to $300+. I was able to get it for less than half of that and they had the guitar instructor drive it to me in Sacramento .. FOR FREE! I don't think I have ever received customer service this wonderful and I feel like I got a steal of a deal with the pedalboard. It is really nice to still have mom and pop shops around like this who can offer excellent service and great deals. I would highly recommend ABC music to anyone.

The ABC manager Jayson helped me find a perfect Applause (Ovation) guitar, and provided excellent and knowledgeable customer service. Great shop to find numerous instruments. I won't shop anywhere else in the Bay Area for music needs!

My wife bought a string from this store. She said the person on the phone was friendly but when she arrived mood quickly changed, idk if because she is from Brazil or what. The string she bought, she put it on and after one use, it broke. I took it back for her because she had to work, and then wouldn't accept a refund. I asked what the refund policy is and she didn't give me an answer. I will never go back to this store or shop here again.
